I grew up in the beautiful state of Minnesota, spending as much time outdoors as I could. Much of my free time was spent outside, exploring the wilds of nature, canoeing many of the 10,000 Lakes of Minnesota, and falling in love with horses and all of nature's animals. Nature brings me joy, helping me reconnect with something greater than myself. As the youngest of 3, my love for nature and being with others was fostered at a young age.

Anxiety, addiction, and low self-esteem have been a large part of my story and growth process. During those times, I picked up many unhealthy coping skills to hide those struggles and emotions. Through ups/downs and painful learning lessons, I learned how to challenge those negative thoughts in my head and incorporate healthier skills into my life. These changes started me on a path full of learning and growth opportunities; you can too.

After working for years as a drug/alcohol counselor in both wilderness and residential settings, I wanted to broaden my focus so I went back to school and obtained my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I continue learning and growing as a clinician by engaging in regular professional consultation. While I do not have a current supervisor, I am part of a consultation group that allows continued education, case consultation, and professional development.

If you're ready for change, or at least to begin that conversation, please reach out and let's begin that discussion. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, or addiction, there is help and guidance. You are always in the driver's seat; therapy, in my eyes, always goes as fast or slow as you are comfortable with. If we meet and I am not the therapist for you, I will provide you with a list of referrals who may be a better fit.
