If you’d like to inquire about therapy, I offer a free 20 minute consultation; please reach out to make an appointment via phone or email. Please leave a message, including name and phone number, and I will return your call within four business days. You can also send me a message through the Contact page on this site.
When therapy begins, we will spend some time getting to know one another, as well as discussing successes/difficulties in your life that have contributed to your current situation. The first few sessions include exploring your background, gathering a detailed history, identifying goals/objectives in therapy, and beginning to build a healthy level of trust in one another.
Honest and open communication is of the utmost importance for successful therapy. I make every attempt to provide a safe and trusting environment for all involved to be able to openly speak their mind. Please feel free to correct me if I reflect something that doesn’t sound accurate, or if you’re feeling increased anxiety or discomfort. Therapy can be uncomfortable and difficult; I work hard to create a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere that promotes healing. You are in control of the direction of therapy; as a result, you are invited to tell me if you would like to try different therapeutic approaches. There is always more than one way to approach any given situation.
At times, it can be difficult to determine whether improvement is occurring during the therapy process. As a result, we will regularly evaluate how the therapeutic process is meeting your needs and objectives by exploring progress as compared to when you began therapy. It is important, too, for you to know that while positive changes usually do occur, they cannot be guaranteed in therapy. Treatment will conclude when the identified objectives have been sufficiently achieved. This will be determined through mutual agreement among the participants, including myself.
At this time, my practice only accepts Regence Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance plan. For those without Regence BC/BS, I do offer clients insurance reimbursement paperwork (superbills) that you can submit to your insurance provider, allowing you to utilize out of network (OON) benefits. Most insurance providers, including Moda, Pacific Source, and United Healthcare to name a few, have this option of OON benefits. This is a simple process where you would be provided a monthly statement to submit to your provider, and they may reimburse you part or all of the session fees. I accept cash/check, credit card, and FSA/HSA cards. Payment is required at the end of each session unless otherwise arranged.
